COLLECTION EVA

spring/summer 2011

In order to talk about this collection we will make a very long, stellar trip … to reach an Utopia out of our world, and by this way to fly towards the Moon.
A moon dwelled by free women where there are no human ties. No chains, only the woman to the service of herself, of her imagination, and of her nature.
Just with our imagination we are free to think and to arrive to unpredictable and remote places, only removing the fears and leaving way to the heart the feelings arise.

Only the decisive woman, owner of her fate, free of the moral ties and mean restrictions, is capable of conquering THE MOON.

That the most beautiful, free and passionate women colonize it and take it up as feminine principle, which represents again the women's truth. Take it as endless source of spiritual energy. And by this way you will give way to the birth of the new EVA.

I’m very grateful to my brother Antonio.

Materials

Taffeta, Mikado, Gauze, Shantung silk and Dupion silk like natural and human textiles opposite to more artificial materials like synthetic and treated textiles. Die cut nappa. Laminated stitch in hologram over a Glitter's base, rigid Materials for the elaboration of cancans, rigid ribbons of Nylon, Term adhesive ribbons and Elastic trimmings which contribute to the most fantastic and semi futurist vision.

A sweet vision of a near future, an Utopia with references to the past, The nostalgia for better times and at the same time the wish of a new world.

The Colour

The colour of the collection is a galactic trip that begins with the idea of an aseptic and clean future in white and beige (2001-Kubrik, THX of George Lucas or Duncan Jones's MOON) going through the explosion of a supernova in bright and sparkle tones (Solaris - Andrei Tarkovsky or Barbarella - Roger Vadim) and a resounding black as in the apocalyptic dystopias where dark characters of flamboyant elegance are shown (Bladerunner-Ridley Scott or Proyas's Dark City)

The Volume

Pieces of great volume that remember the golden age of the seam contrast with more tight figures using elastic bands, by this way it is obvious a retro style vs contemporary.

The Complements

I’m very grateful to Ana from CDA because of her collaboration in the project creating pieces with white Opal crystal of Swaroski under the premises of spatial stones and ancient jewels, contrasts in colours emphasizing on white, black and graphite support.

As well as the making of footwear for Tous Les Your, in which platforms and heels lined with silk play with insteps made of elastic bands intertwined with plastic applications.
