COLLECTION: LIFE, THE BEST SPECTACLE IN THE WORLD
Not long ago, the magic and illusion of the circus filled the arena and impregnated the circus tent with dreams and fantasy.
The master of ceremonies joyfully announced the new show that they had been awaiting for such a long time. The spectators, who were feeling enthusiastic, were anxiously waiting for it all to begin...
The clown was making the audience laugh, whilst being wishful of experiencing new sensations. With great agility, the trapeze artist climbed up the ropes which took her to her trapeze with agility, this simple element that was going to make her fly and feel more alive and free than ever before.
Everything was a success...Everyone wanted to see more! The show had to go on!
But then, aware of the audience´s greed for a performance that would surprise them again, the master of ceremonies began to feel more and more pressurised and in fact started to feel so overwhelmed that he was able to merely emit a few short stuttered phrases in his presentation.
The clown, with an eternal smile etched on his face which concealed a broken heart, could no longer manage to make people laugh.
Up above, the trapeze artist, who had a new number in which she risked her life with each movement she made, saw how the disillusioned spectators gradually abandoned their seats...
Silence. The lights were going out and the audience slowly abandoned the circus. The master, feeling exhausted, had no more to say. The clown, as if it were an old number, shed tears instead of flashing smiles. The trapeze artist, who felt intimidated, decided to stay on her trapeze forever, trapped inside her own dream...
“If we are not careful, life can exhaust us so make today a happy one, there are too many tears along the way.”
