COLLECTION: NEW FUTURE
Many years, even generations, have gone by since the days when people only worried about looking for a new place where they could continue their lives. We have all forgotten already that, a long time ago, the earth existed.
On a new planet, which is surrounded by an infinite number of stars and is in the midst of an ever-present darkness that is splashed by touches of brightness and white reflections, that is the only light which can be seen in this eternal shade.
Having adapted ourselves to this new way of life, to those shadows that always surround us, once again we take interest in beauty, and again we
want to dress up to feel alive, to have our own identity and once more we are interested in our image.
Balance is the key word that defines the general lines of this collection.
In comparison with the asymmetries, the proposed design is a carefully elaborated composition which revolves around a central axle, the proportions are very well compensated and very carefully considered.
Sharp and precise cuts are evident at the prominent shoulders and at the hips, while there is pinching at the tight waists although it gives the figure freedom of movement.
The upper garments have a simple style, an urban air, which is easy to combine and valid for any time of the day or night, with sharp angles in the designs of the shoulders. The lower garments are semi-tailored or adjusted above the hips by means of belts. Thanks to the patterning, which uses darts and pleats, I can make this feminine form really stand out, with tight waistlines and ankles and hips that are more marked.
The colours are those from the new extreme environment in which we live, black and white. However, the black colour has a typical variation of the firmament: a printed fabric that is made by means of serigraphy and inspired by the constellations, a personal vision of the universe that we have passed through until reaching our new destination.
Despite what was experienced on this trip, I do not revoke the use of our most traditional tissues. For this reason, and so as not to fall into the cliché of futurist inspiration, I have used the basic and simple materials that are already common in my collections. I have used fine cotton serge with spandex so that my garments will be very comfortable, combined with different types of knitwear that are also in cotton with the use of thick gauge stitching with a touch of sheen and another type of finer stitching that somewhat reminds us of a spider´s web.
Finally, we have decided to take off our technical suits, which were necessary for the crossing and our adaptation to our environment. Once more we can feel the need for taste and to like each other. At last we have invented Fashion again.
Once again we are Human Beings.
