COLECCIÓN STHENDAL
In a similar way to pictorial or sculptural images, architectonic shapes constitute a language that contains the possibility of transmitting messages with shapes. The basic elements in this case are the woman´s body and the tissues, which give us the tools necessary for this architectonic language, thus making a creation possible. The way of articulating them is what we shall call “style”.
Two styles come into view which range from the most earthly type to the cleaning of contemporary architecture in a natural setting.
We create a cascade of shapes ranging from volume to a lineal silhouette, complemented by textures which are modified and altered from their initial form.
“I had reached this degree of excitement in which you can find those heavenly sensations that you can get from the Fine Arts together with passionate feelings...my heart was beating fast, life inside me was exhausted...
This collection is divided into two different occasions of use, one for night time and the other for daytime, where the same type of delicateness is brought into both.
The collection is comprised of dresses and special knitwear garments that have been elaborated with the moulage technique, and these make up the second layers of the collection with the aim of forming a complete “look”.
There are dresses with textures that have been specially handcrafted, textures that originate from tissues which we alter and give shape to until we manage to obtain some details that we later put together carefully in the making of the dresses.
The knitwear garments are divided into two techniques for elaboration purposes. Some of them come from moulage, totally created in the mannequin way, while others come from a pattern where they are also blended with carefully elaborated textures.
This makes for a total of 21 dresses and more or less 12 knitwear garments (upper garments).
The gloss of the collection is down to the colouring of indigo blue, electric blue, petrol green, Marengo grey and elegant black.
The tissues have a wide range and include soft and hanging viscous ones, shiny satin, taffetas which give a free rein to our textures, cool hanging wool, serge tissues which have an abstract printed fabric and “memory”, tissue with “memory”, smart tissues which you can crease to such a degree that they lose their shape but later, by only passing your hand over them they will return to their initial state.
