SOLENOPSIS INVICTA: This is the most aggressive species of native ants and can give a painful bite. Generally someone can come across them by carelessly treading on one of their anthills, which makes the ants go up the person´s legs, whilst attacking en masse. They successfully compete against other local ants and are gradually spreading despites the intense efforts made to stop or eliminate them. It is carnivorous and in the invaded zones it shows a considerable tendency to be polygenic, probably due to the decrease in genetic diversity among colonies.
Competitiveness, impersonality, individualism, mass production and repetition. A developed world society which is characterised by excess and the ever increasing lack of values and ideals. It is a society in which we constantly feel alone.
The aggressiveness of some against others, the poor communication which exists. The impossibility of accepting each other as we are, the zombifying of societies, the sensation of immunity when faced with horror.
PIN, PUK, PASSWORD, DNI (ID CARDS), bar codes, locating chips, credit cards. Imposed identity.
Repetition drives us crazy; doing something again and again and each time expecting something different.
Repetition annuls the difference.
Repetition is the most comfortable and easiest option.
Repetition eliminates the overall thinking of the masses.
Repetition adds the individual to a daily junction, in a moment of disconnection.
The development of the individual is not interesting; for that reason they have subjected us to this sensorial drowsiness, subjected to systematic consumption, to a continuous occupation which leads us to a loss of our subconscious.
Just like insects, we are capable of developing complex social structures but condemned to tirelessly repeat the same action day after day. Insects that are capable of working in agriculture, having cattle and armies as well as capturing slaves, but with an existence based on dehumanising and systematic repetition. Daily routines.
Condemned to endless repetition, as a punishment.
