AUTUMN-WINTER COLLECTION 2010-2011
The cornerstone of this collection is the sea, marine animals, the Mediterranean and the Spanish climate. The collection is influenced by Ernst Haeckel´s book “Forms of Art in Nature”.
Inspiration is acquired by pretentious and refined forms as well as models of flora and marine fauna. There is an admiration for corals, the curves of seashells, the transparency of jellyfish, the rhythm of scales and other marvels from the sea world.
The contrast and graphic effect of the collection are achieved by sweeping away the complicated forms from nature and by the designs traditionally attributed to the sea, blue stripes over a white background.
The range of colour in the collection goes through different ranges of blues; navy, indigo, light blue and turquoise with a slight glint of coral, together with a use of shades and whites from nacre to alabaster.
Stitching and crocheting knit a large part of the collection making use of the different threads, thus giving a texture of robustness and light, as they shine and get tangled.
