COLLECTION CONTORNO Y ESPACIO
SPRING/SUMMER 2014
The space constitutes the main axis of the project. It is a dynamic and active element, it is the place where the shape is molded and where it can reach its fulfillment. The space is understood as the modeling with soft forms and pleats and the pattern geometrics as measurement.
The interaction between the measurement and the space in a lineal and temporary progression transmits the reciprocity between the molding and the pattern in a design. It is created an opened relation between both where the "space" interacts with body movement in a temporary sequence and adopts countless measurements against the timelessness of the patterned shape.
Opposite to the measurement the space constitutes a living entity, motor of design and takes part in the generation of the shape. For its action, it creates dynamism around the pattern, including the temporary dimension in the design. The space is the origin of the shape and is where this one acquires its meaning for opposition. Likewise, in the oriental painting the canvas space is transformed when the constant and dynamic brushstroke acquires a shape. The brushstroke is a tool as well as the textile for fashion. In the same way as the brushstroke in the canvas, the textile supports its continuity over the body and generates rhythm, movement, lights, shades and volumes.
The collection is arisen from these reflections, taking the space that generates shapes as starting point. This one is being modeled by means of different strategies as drapes and pleats and they face the pattern shapes in an asymmetric way. Along the sequence the designs tend to the pattern shape of the last model where the organza highlights the pattern without reducing the capacity of suggestion of the garment.
The colors of the collection go from hot intense colors reducing their intensity passing by very soft colors to reach the white. The blue color in different intensities is the thread of the collection.
