In this collection, Lavandera develops a project centred on sports uniforms.  Following the dynamics of uniformity, a piece of work is presented in unitary forms and applied to both sexes. 

The sports uniform has been worked with, seeking both comfort and usefulness at the moment of getting dressed.  These are aspects which are not at loggerheads with sophistication and elegance.  It is worth emphasising this point as the end result is a perfect tandem which combines freedom of movement with presence and personality in the garments.  Another key note to point out in Lavandera’s work is that it compulsorily has to go through meticulously prepared work involving pattern design. 

The sports uniform is created with the need to, on one hand, support a determined sports activity and, on the other hand, to become adapted to the movement needs of the aforesaid activity.  These are the guidelines which have been used in order to develop an off-the-peg collection related to the basic needs of the present-day individual. The pursuit of this goal is a constant feature within Lavandera’s collections.  She gives a great deal of thought to the evolutionary rhythms of society. 

In the continuous dialogue which she maintains with her previous collections, we can discover an interesting evolution with regard to the shapes.  A new season is presented, which is fresh, light and in continued harmony between the shapes and the tissues.  Cottons of different weights have been worked with, which helps to establish volumetric differences between the different garments.  We can appreciate the lightest volumes combined with straight structures that mark an extraordinary verticality in the garments.

We can perhaps perceive a collection that is freer in concepts and shapes which escapes a little from the sobriety of the last collection.
