COLLECTION COOL MOUNTAIN / SPRING-SUMMER 09
The research into pattern design enables the acquisition of skirts which have multiple large pleats; pieces that are inspired by tents for camping; multifunctional expandable pockets; short trousers which simulate skirts which have a pleated cut; word of honour dresses that simulate a Saharan jacket; sleeveless summer parkas…
Uniform
The collection is composed of structured, sober and very formal lines which manage to achieve a “uniform” look which represents the leader of a ‘scout’ patrol.
The colours
Green and beige is the line which best blends this ‘scout-type’ spirit. In this way, we can find beige explorer shirts, as well as in other colours such as navy ‘scout’ blue and grey or green “rover”. The chosen colour is suitable for being blended with the elements of nature.
The beige tones in prepared cotton are aimed at cleanly cut garments which are simple but very avant-garde and have inspired the creation of shirts which are near to the body and structured. All of these are trimmed with a fine green line. This line is culminated by shirt dresses together with pyjama-inspired combinations with sleeveless tops or with a rounded neckline, which are coordinated with other garments based on the olive green colour.
The blue garments (the most masculine line of the B Series) are based on the navy tone, shirt-making in white, fine-striped garments in sky blue, sailors’ lace, high waists and men’s underwear details.
The greys are blended with sailors’ stripes in black and white viscose, together with Liberty micro-flower printed fabric. This mixture is softened with the incorporation of deep black garments. This is the most adventurous series of the collection.
For big occasions, the nobility obliges us and the habitual uniform becomes ceremony dress for a few moments to give rise to the main elements: the colour of lead grey with a metallic effect along with intense black are mixed with the poplin of sky blue cotton, retraced with black lines.
In “serie B” (the B series) we can also find a combination in the more sporty type garments such as shorts, loose blouses, waistcoats together with other more sophisticated items: a dress in the trapeze line, sleeves with gathers which take their inspiration from shirts and even bolero tops cut in a futuristic aerodynamic way. There are also asymmetrical waistcoats with corset type zips, belt loops and long dresses in prepared batiste or in very light cotton with multi-functional zip features for camp life.
In detail
The garments have multiple pockets, staples, braces, details in red sporty tissue, buckles, washers and stiffeners which are used for gathering, closing and adjusting the pieces which are reversible or even convertible.
The tissues
These are 100% ecological. The collection is built on cotton, fibre and linen. There is an abundance of small and smooth tissues with brushstrokes in stripes and flower or tree printed fabric. The tissues which predominate are: cotton muslin, cotton batiste, poplin, satiny sailcloth, “sarda” cotton, viscose and technical silk.
The shapes
These are stylised with prolonged vertical lines which take up volume in the upper part of the shoulders or in the lower part of the dresses through pleating, gatherings, hollow flounces and the superimposition of garments of different tissues and textures.
The key factors
In ‘COOL MOUNTAIN’, taste for detail is appreciated in the braids and belt loops, as well as in the asymmetry of the cut and the volume in the sleeves and shoulders. You can also find:
