COLLECTION: THEO without H (the just man)
AUTUMN-WINTER 08-09
In a vital and intense moment of my life, the work of the Hungarian author Sandor Marai struck my sense of perception and thus encouraged my creativity. The intensity in which the author describes his characters and the intelligence with which he studies them from diverse prisms showing that one single reality never exists, meant that I myself decided to reveal myself in this collection the way that I am, from all angles and from my own reality and from this comes the title of the collection, which additionally makes reference to one of his most important works: “The Just Woman” and with that I carried out a play on words. What is just? Who is the just man?
I now feel more just because, after turning and turning around in the same circle for a long time, one day I put my hand on the floor, I stopped and saw everything with infinite clarity. And I felt that I was at peace with myself at last.
And this collection blends, like me, light with darkness; black with sequins, the Prince of Wales with Lurex, “organza” with wool, velvet with jeans and tulle with leopard skin and so on.
