COLLECTION: AUTUMN-WINTER 08-09
During next winter, Oscar López dresses the woman with the versatility of the contemporary Japanese style.
It is a style that searches for elegance combined with the formal sobriety of tradition, with a modern production that is full of brightness, colours and textures.
The reminiscences of Gustav Klimt’s paintings together with geometrical and urbanite shapes in the printed fabrics successfully give the garments an oriental air of present-day Japan and this is also strengthened by the shiny qualities of velvet – an essential tissue in the collection – and the finishes are with shiny metalised touches.
The palette of winter colours gives great importance to white and black and also to grey and rusty tones in this collection but does not lose the colouring identity of Matilda with prominent dabs of fuchsia or intense blue.
The dress is the fundamental female garment for this winter as, without losing its festive feel, it can be used in a more casual way or in a sporty way when the tissues it is made in tissues such as cotton knitwear. |
